This weekend is always so special to me for many reasons!! For the past few years, it's special to me because I am now a mother and know the love and joy I get from being a mother to my sweet angel!! It's also special to me because B and I both have birthday's that split Mother's Day and my sister and her precious husband share their anniversary as well on this weekend. It doesn't get much better than that!! We celebrated B's birthday on Thursday with his mom, we celebrated our birthdays and the Barrow's anniversary on Friday night with my entire family, and we celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday with his Mom for lunch and my family for dinner. B suprised me saturday and took me to Birmingham to eat at my favorite place, The Village Tavern for my birthday/mother's day and it was so nice to have a date with him. Every year around this time I stop and count my many blessings which I should do way more often than I do but with all of us being on the go so much, it's easy to forget to do it!! I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life and I thank God for them daily!!! I couldn't be happier than I am in this very moment!!! It was an amazing weekend filled with wonderful memories and one I'll never forget!!! Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy friends!!!

We took Addison swimming for the first time this year and we got to use her floaties!! =) Last year she was still so small that we used a big round float that she could sit in instead of floaties on her arms. This year, we are able to use the arm floaties so she can learn how to swim like a big girl. At first she wasn't too sure about it, but after daddy got in, she was all about it!! She had such a good time and I can't wait for the pool to open where we live so we can go all the time this summer. Fun times are ahead with this little angel!!

We took Addison to her very first Auburn experience on Saturday for the Auburn A-Day game. We knew it may or may not be a challenge depending on how she decided to act that day but we wanted to give it a try so we did. Laura, Keith and the kids all came as well and we had a great day together as a family. We started by going to Kinnucans in Auburn to see Tommy Trott and Ben Tate and let the kids take pics with them and get autographs. They were both so nice and generous with their time. Then, we headed to find a parking place. We were afraid that would be a challenege but we actually got a great parking place that had a grassy area with shade for our picnic. We then headed to the practice field so the kids could enjoy the inflatables for a while before eating. We had a picnic in the shade and the weather was phenominal. We sat on blankets and in chairs and just laughed and had the best time. After lunch, we packed up and headed to the new Auburn Basketball Arena to take a tour and I must say, it is wonderful!! We took lots of pics so daddy could see it since he and mama could not be there. We then proceeded to the stadium to get a seat with about 20-30 minutes until kick-off. The kids were a little tired at this point but held up well throughout the day. We then left and went to get yogurt at a new place in Auburn called Tutti Fruiti......it was FABULOUS!!! The best yogurt I have ever had....ever!! The kids loved the refreshment and so did the adults. After a little shopping at J&M, we headed home. I knew for certain that Addison would fall asleep on the drive home, but she didn't. However, she slept wonderfully that night. Addison was an angel all day and had a blast watching Aubie during the game......that was all she was interested in was Aubie......and the cheerleaders. We had the best time and I cherish ever second of ever minute we have like that as a family. Those memories are what life is all about!!

Way too long.....

It's been way to long since I posted last and alot has happened!! January was completely crazy and quite frankly a month I wouldn't mind forgetting. February was good but busy with tons of things going on from sporting events to tryouts to SNOW!!! I can not believe it snowed 2 times this year and actually stuck. Incredible!! That allowed for some fabulous family time and lots of memory making that I will NEVER forget!! Then March came......again.......very quickly I might add. March was a great month not only because of spring break, but because of a very special occasion that will now happen every March for the rest of my life!! On March 23rd, 2008 God blessed me with the most amazing miracle I could ever ask for. Addison Brooke Foxworth graced us with her presence at 12:27pm Easter Sunday.......I will never forget that day. There are lots of memories of that day....some not so fun memories but the experience of childbirth is one memory I'll never forget!! It's hard to believe that it has been 2 years since that wonderful day and oh what a joy our little princess has been. We had her 2nd birthday party at the house on March 20th with family and friends and she got more than we could have ever asked for or wanted. We took her to eat for her birthday on March 23rd with the grandparents and the Barrow's and as always she had a great time. I was on spring break the week of her birthday and got to spend every single moment with my angel and I wouldn't trade that for anything. It's those moments I cherish most. She has changed alot in 2 years so I thought I would update everyone on the world of Addison and what she's up to.

*She is talking more and putting words together to make sentences.....adorable.
*She loves the word "No"....of course.
*She says "I luh you mama" and "I luh you dada" which melts our hearts every time.
*She loves being outside....can not get enough of it.
*She adores all of her grandparents and tells them she loves them too.
*She can't get enough of her Bebe (Blakeley who is the oldest cousin and belongs to Keith and Laura)
*She calls Laura "Aunt Wawa" and Keith "Uncle KeKe"
*She loves dancing, singing, and playing with everything in sight.
*She still eats like a champ and isn't picky....the only thing she won't eat is cole slaw.
*She says her prayers every night with Mommy and Daddy and that is a moment I look forward to daily.
*She's quit the helper and puts things back where she got them from.

I could go on for days but won't bore you. She suprises us daily and I couldn't be more proud to be her Mama!! Happy Birthday Angel!!
April has been even better than expected. Easter was amazing as always and such a great reminder of all we have to be thankful for. It was a great weekend spent with family and Easter Egg hunting.

Well, it's been crazy in the Foxworth household over the last month. Our December started out with us moving......yes, we moved in the busiest month possible. We had the new house painted, which took longer than expected but looks amazing and the painters did such a fabulous job, then we had to get everything packed onto the moving van and unpacked into the house. We also have had things in storage for a while that we had to get into the garage for me to go through and decide what we were keeping and what we were not keeping. After the week and a half that took, I had to unpack the boxes and get to decorating the new house! This process pretty much took my entire christmas vacation time to do but it was so worth it. Moving is hard work and so exhausting but I absolutely love where we are!! Other than moving, our Christmas was fabulous. We had lots of family time which is always so nice. Addison had so much fun opening her presents this year and it was a joy to watch her. She was worn out by the time we got her home that night. Our New Years Eve was uneventful but full of time with my baby and hubby which I can never get enough of. We rang in the New Year together and went to bed. 2009 was a great year for our family but it obviously had it's rocky times. God provided in those rocky times as He always does and we look forward to the great things He has in store for our family in 2010.

It has been a while so I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had the most amazing time as a family during our 8 day stay at Disney World over Thanksgiving and I am so blessed that we were all able to go and enjoy our time together. It was nice to get away for a short time to relax and see this fairy tale world through the eyes of our angel. I have made many trips to Disney World, but none like this trip. There is something about going with your child and seeing things through their eyes that makes it even more special. Addison was in awe of everything around her. She starred at lights, characters, shows, etc. in pure amazement and it was the most adorable thing ever. She went the first 3 days we were there without a nap because she refused to miss anything. She was the best baby for the entire trip from the travel there to the travel back, she was a pure joy and I am so blessed that she is our daughter. I am continuously filled with more love for my precious angel as the days go by. Our thanksgiving tradition has always been that we say things we are thankful for, but being out of town we were unable to do that with our entire family this year. I must say though that I am so thankful for my husband and daughter. They are my world and they complete me. I can not imagine my life without them in it. I love them both so very much. I am also thankful for my parent, without whom I wouldn't be who I am today and I am so blessed by God that he chose me to be their daughter. They amaze me more every day and the love and dedication they show me, my family, and my daughter is such an inspiration. I hope Brandon and I can be those kind of parents to Addison as she grows and matures. I am also so thankful for my sister. I got lucky!! We haven't always gotten along, but in these last few years, we are closer than I could have ever imagined and I thank God every day for her and my brother-in-law and their three children. They are such a joy and I am so glad they are apart of our family. I am blessed to have the most amazing friends in the world who lift me up when I am down and are there for me any time I need them. God has been so good to us and I pray that each and every one of you are just as blessed as I am.

On another note, Addison is growing like crazy. She is 21 months old......yes, you heard me right she will be 2 years old in March!!! I absolutely can't believe my little girl is almost 2!! Time is flying right by me and it's hard to believe it has been that long since she arrived. She has 10 teeth now and they just keep on coming. She is walking, well running, everywhere and is so much fun. Her belly laughs get me every time I hear them. There is no sound in the world sweeter than hearing your baby laugh and giggle. She talks to us all the time and has a new word every day which is so much fun. Every stage has been more enjoyable than the last and I am excited about all the new things to come.

I can hardly believe it's already November. This year is flying by so fast and I have been way behind on my posts and pictures I promised so the above pictures are of our trip to North Carolina in September for Robby and Elizabeth's wedding!! We had such a wonderful time up there and oh how beautiful it was in the mountains!!

Halloween has come and gone so quickly this year but Addison had a blast!! We took her to our fall festival at HBC and she had a big time sliding down the slides and getting lots of candy for mommy and daddy to eat!! =) She was a pink leopard this year and it was adorable. She is getting so big and I can't believe she's 19 months old!! Wow, how time flys!!

On another note, Macon-East football is getting exciting as we head into the first round of the play-offs this friday night. We ended the regular season 8-2 . We take on Morgan Academy in Selma this friday night. I'll keep you posted as to how we do. I can't wait to see our boys play this week with so much on the line.

Last update for this post is that we are headed to Walt Disney World in just 18 short days!! This will be Addison's first trip to Disney World and Brandon and I are so excited about taking her. My whole family is going as we are spending the entire week of thanksgiving down there so it'll be fun!! I'll be sure to post pictures and updates from that amazing trip!!

Busy, Busy!!

The Foxworth household has been a very busy one these last couple of weeks. The North Carolina trip/wedding was wonderful and it was absolutely GORGEOUS in the mountains. I can't wait to go back to the mountains and SOON!! Elizabeth made a beautiful bride and had so many close friends that traveled long hours to get there for her special weekend. It was a very sweet ceremony and the reception was oh so fun! While I was gone on this amazing trip our football team took on the number one ranked AISA team in our region. Knowing it was going to be an exciting game I hated to miss it but it was a family wedding so I really couldn't miss that! Well, WE WON!!!!!! Yes, we beat the number one team in our region.........it is so amazing and I am so proud of our guys!! We still have 3 region games left to play but our playoff chances are looking better and better each week! Upon returning home we had our Homecoming at MEMA and our kids were awesome but with homecoming week comes stress.......lots of stress!! But, it was a success and we have 11 months before having to do it again!! =)

On the football note, my Auburn Tigers are now ranked in the top 25 and are doing so well right now!! I am so proud of them and Coach Chizik and company for all they've done this season so far and can't wait to see how we finish the season! Our saturday's are filled with college football ALL DAY LONG.........I love this time of year!

Addison 2nd Halloween is coming up in just a few weeks and I can't wait to dress her up and take her to our fall festival. It is going to be so much fun!! I'll have to take pictures to post so everyone can see how big she has gotten!!

We are full force into football season and it is fabulous. Our team at the school is doing well and of course our Auburn Tigers are doing well this year too! YAY! We have enjoyed some great times already with family and friends during this football season and it has only just begun!!
On that note, we had a bit of a scary weekend a few weeks ago. On September 12th my parents were in Auburn at the game tailgating with some friends and having a great time. Apparently my dad got bit or stung by something on his leg and he started itching really bad all over. He told my mom he felt like his ears were swelling so a lady at their tailgate site gave him some benedryl to help. He stood up and walked to the truck where he collapsed to the ground. They helped him up and went to get him a chair and when they got him a chair he collapsed AGAIN into the chair. Of course my mom and everyone else were terrified so they called 911. They took him by ambulance to the hospital where he was treated with an epinephrine shot for an allergic reaction. He was feeling alright on the way to the hospital but his blood pressure was 60/20 which is dangerously low and they kept him there until about 6:40. He left there with a prescription for an epi pen to carry with him at all times and even though my parents missed the game, they were so thankful he was alright as were my sister and I!! If nobody had been with him to give him that benedryl, it could have been fatal!! To top this off, it was his BIRTHDAY!!! Yep, it was and it was one he will never forget!! I am so glad he is okay!

On another note, we have been waiting for months now on Elizabeth and Robby's wedding and it's finally arrived!! We leave this thursday to head to North Carolina for this wonderful time with family and friends!! I absolutely can not wait for this mini vacation! =) It is going to be so exciting as weddings always are and I am glad we get to be apart of it with everyone up there! I'll post pictures when we return!

As many of you know today's date is September 9, 2009, or better known as 09/09/09. Supposedly today's date makes this one of the luckiest days of the year. I was reading an article on the yahoo website that just talked about all the reasons the number 9 was special and I thought I would share a couple of them.

1. This is the last set of repeating single digit dates for almost a century (until January 1, 2101).
2. If you remember from school, the sum of the 2 digits resulting from nine multiplied by any other single digit number will equal nine (ex. 9x3=27; 2+7=9).
3. Also, spetember 9, 2009 happens to be the 252nd day of the year........2+5+2=9.

I know this may all sound stupid but at the same time it's interesting if you really thiunk about it!!! Somewhere today there are brides and grooms getting married because of the significance of todays date. So, with all that said, enjoy the last single digit repeating day you may ever see!! I hope today is everyone's lucky day!!! =)

Four years ago today I married the best man every. I could not have asked for a more loving, caring, giving, wonderful, christian man to spend the rest of my life with. God has blessed us and our family so much in these past four years and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us in the future.

Brandon, thank you for being who you are and for choosing me to spend the rest of your life with and to be the mother of our beautiful daughter. I am so blessed to have such an amazing man in my life and I thank God every day for you. You mean the world to me and I am so excited to see what God has in store for us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do for us.

Yesterday was the first day of school!!!! It's so crazy how fast summer flys by now days and here we are at the beginning of another school year!!! I am excited about the year and what this year will bring!!! No doubt it'll bring times of stress but it'll also bring times of joy and laughter!!! I am so fortunate that I work with great people.........and great students!!!!
On another note, my busy schedule stays in tact for a least another few weeks!!!! Obviously football season and coaching will keep me busy but also other things in my personal life will keep me busy.........such as Brittany and Cody's wedding which happens to be THIS weekend.......YAY!!! I also have mine and Brandon's 4 year wedding anniversary!!! CrAzY!!!! I can't believe it's almost been 4 years since we said "I Do" and what an amazing 4 years it has been!!! We also have Elizabeth and Robby's wedding in September that we will be attending!!!! It is going to be a crzy busy time for us but we are so excited about all the things going on in the lives of our friends and family!!!
Speaking of friends.......we found out in the last few weeks that 4 of our friends are parents-to-be!!!! It is so amazing to see all these people preparing for parenthood and what a blessing these children will be!!!! Congratulations to ALL of you and you know who you are!!! =)

Summer is coming to a close!!!

So as July draws to a close I realize that I am exactly 8 days from going back to my work place!! I have been up there over the summer with practices and camp but I officially start back with pictures and inservice next week!! It is absolutely crazy how fast the summer months go now!! I remember being out for 12-14 weeks when I was in school and now we're down to only 10 week summers!!! I wish it was more but I must admit I am ready for my schedule to be back in order!! In my last post I listed all my busy adventures I had going on and while most of them at this point are over, I still have a few left!!!
Our North Carolina trip was amazing as usual and I can't wait to see them all again in Spetember when Elizabeth gets married!!! Brittany's trip was awesome and I had so much fun!!! Can't wait for her wedding in just 2 short weeks!!! We are leaving for the beach thursday and I absolutely can NOT wait!!! It's my last summer vacation before hitting the ground running with school and I am so ready for one last relaxation trip with the fam!!! I will be sure to post pictures when we get back!!
My girls did awesome at camp......I had one get hurt 3 days before we left for camp but my girls pulled through and did a fantastic job all week!!! It was the first week I've ever had at a cheer camp with NO DRAMA, NO BICKERING, NO FIGHTING!!! They all actually got along and it was very pleasant!! I am so blessed to have such a great group of girls and parents and I am so excited about this year!!

Summer Time......

It's been a while since my last post!! We ended the school year and as soon as I left here the last day of school I didn't even think about coming up here for anything.......because I knew that in just 2 short weeks I would be back up here for summer practice. That is not a bad thing, however I must say I liked having those 2 weeks all to myself to layout, run errands, and just be lazy!! We started summer practice yesterday and it went suprisingly well!! I knew that the girls hadn't done a thing since leaving in May so my expectations were low........but they exceeded them!! So, now I am back at macon 4 days a week until camp which is in July!!
As for the rest of my summer.........I will be a busy bee!! I really dont think I'll be able to slow down long enough to count to 10!! Obviously Father's Day is this weekend and then there's bridal showers for my sister-in-law Brittany, then we go to North Carolina to visit Brandon's dad over the 4th, then we have camp, then I leave for Britt's bachelorette trip, then my mother's birthday, then our beach trip with friends, then we have in-service, and of course then school starts back!!!!!! Tired yet?? I sure am and I am just beginning!!! =) I also have 2 weddings in a matter of a month starting in August.......along with football season and my own anniversary!! Whew........it's alot!! BUT, I am lucky to have a great job, a wonderful family, and amazing friends to spend my life with!! A girl couldn't ask for more!!! Well, that's about it for today........I'll have a Father's Day post up soon!! Hugs and Kisses!!!

Last Sunday we had a great lesson in Sunday School that really got me thinking about how important my job is and the influence I have on the kids around me. The funny thing is that this lesson came just 2 days after I had a student come into my office and sit to talk to me for 2 hours about personal things going on in her life. I was completely caught off guard and remember sitting in my chair thinking "Okay God, what do i say to that??" I have been around children and teaching for several years but never have I had this experience with teaching/witnessing to a student. I didn't know what I would say or what would come out of my mouth when I opened it to speak to her but He gave me the words to say that would help her and give her the guidance HE wanted her to have. Even though I shouldn't be amazed I was.......I was amazed at how he used me at the most unexpected time to teach a child what they needed to know........about HIM!! It was most definitely a humbling experience!!

On another note, some very good friends of ours are moving to Georgia this weekend.......this is a great opportunity for them but was also a very hard decision for them to make. He too is a teacher and band director and makes a HUGE impact in the lives of the students he leads. I know that the Lord is going to use them in a awesome way in Georgia!! They are such sweet, amazing people and I am truly going to miss them!! Good Luck Jon and Beth......we love you both and that precious baby boy very much!!

Mommy Moment

Well, I haven't blogged about Addison in a while so I figured today the blog would be dedicated to her!! She is growing and changing so much all the time and last night I had a melt down about it!! When Brandon brings her home from daycare, I always pick her up and start playing with her, asking her how her day was, and loving that smile she gives me and Brandon all the time!! Yesterday was no different.......until I heard Brandon say "well, she's growing up so fast that daycare is moving her up to the next room"!! I wanted to cry.......and I did shortly after I read the notice we got sent home to us!! It talked about how we needed to send her in shoes everyday because she would be outside on the playground, and how they have song time, play time, reading time, etc. and I just lost it!! It is so good and healthy for her to move up and grow and change........and I guess I never really think about how big she really is getting until I get those notes and I realize how fast she is growing.........and I had a melt down about it!! I can't believe how fast time is flying by and how much she is changing and growing every single day!! She is walking, trying to say words we say and saying some of them right, sitting in her own chair like a big girl and playing by herself to entertain herself without us having to entertain her!! Some of these, well, all of these things are wonderful and huge milestones and I am so happy that she is accomplishing all these things.........but as her momma I just got sad about it for a few moments!!! This time last year she wasn't even rolling over yet much less crawling, talking, cutting teeth, or anything and now......I can't keep up, she has four teeth, she has the cutest shoes in the world, she loves on Toby ALL the time and she actually hugs and "gives us love" every day!! She understands what we are saying to her and responds to us........it is crazy!! But, I must admit that after my mommy moment of sadness, I am so proud of my baby girl!! She will be 14 months old on saturday and what a wonderful ride these last 14 months have been!! As sad as I was about her moving rooms, I am excited about all the wonderful things to come in her life!!

At this time of year I find myself getting anxious about school being over. I know it's not an 8 to 5 job all year but when you throw in coaching hours it adds up to lots, and lots of hours and time away from family and the stresses that come with this job are overwhelming sometimes. I am so blessed to be in this profession and be able to feel like I am making a difference in the life of a child.........but when the end of the year comes, and it's the off season for coaching it seems like it drags on, and on, and on, and on................and the last day of school is NEVER going to get here.........but it is almost here and I can not wait!!! =) It has been a good year for the most part and I did get a contract back for next year (blessing) so i will be in full force again here soon but I do intend on enjoying my time away for a little bit. My girls will practice this summer but I don't really consider that work.....for me.....it is for them though!!! =)

On another note, a friend of mine just had her baby boy last week on the 6th and he is absolutely precious!!! I forgot what it felt like to hold a tiny baby that weighed 7 pounds.........it was awesome!! I didn't realize until then what people meant when they said they had the itch for another baby just by holding one.........haha, I came home from holding him and told my husband that I may really want another one and that was a very funny conversation.........needless to say he isn't ready for another baby yet!! It was fun to think about for a minute though........ =) Oh well, we will again someday just don't know when!!

Mother's Day!!

This is technically my second mother's day being a mom and I couldn't be happier about having my precious angel in my life!! Mother's Day this year is special to me for several reason........on mother's day last year we dedicated out beautiful daughter at church. That was one of the most amazing days of my life as we stood in front of our church family and dedicated our daughter to the Lord, and ourselves to raise her in a Godly home. I will never forget that wonderful day. It is also very special to me this year because for the first time in my life my birthday is on Mother's Day...........every other time my birthday was suppose to fall on Mother's Day it was a leap year and it would jump from Saturday to Monday......not this year!! I can't think of a better year for this to happen as I myself am a mother now......so I get to celebrate being a mom and my birthday all on the same day!! What's better than that??!!
Mother's Day is also very special to me because as a daughter I get to celebrate my mother!! My mother means the world to me. I can't think of a more Godly woman than my mother. She is the BEST prayer warrior I have ever met, she was always there for me when I needed her growing up, she cherishes my dad and would do anything for him, she never missed one single event my sister or I had growing up, and now she is one of my very best friends. She was beside me every step of the way when I was pregnant and went through the worst delivery imaginable, and I couldn't imagine doing that without her. She is an amazing GiGi to her four grandchildren (as of a year ago) and absolutely adores those kids!!! I could go on and on about how wonderful she is and how lucky I am to have her as my mother. I hope all of you are as lucky as I am to have such an incredible woman as a mom!!
To all of you Mom's out there or Mom's-to-be..........HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! I hope you all have an amazing day and God Bless you all for the love and sacrifice you give to your families and children daily!!!

Amazing Husband.........

I wanted to dedicate this blog post to my amazing husband!! I know I don't tell him enough how much he really means to me but he is such a great husband and father. He would do anything for me and our little Addison and sometimes I totally take that for granted and don't even realize it. One of the things I love about my husband is that he listens to me even when I think he's not..........for example, when I was preggo I said something about how I would LOVE a pregnant massage........not really thinking he would do it much less remember I said anything about it but that christmas what was my present?? Yep, a preggo massage!! I was shocked......and excited all at the same time. There are so many instances I could write about but the most recent is fabulous............my precious husband and I have been losing weight, mine was baby weight and his was weight he gained with me, and our clothes are starting to not fit us anymore. Well, I made the comment a couple of weeks ago about how we haven't had a trip out of town just me and him since our honeymoon and how great it would be to just get away and shop somewhere besides Montgomery. Once again, my husband listened and this weeked he is taking me to Destin for the weekend just me and him........and I get to go shopping!! YAY!! For those of you who don't know me very well, I absolutely LOVE shopping!! It's like my hobby/obsession........but that's not always a good thing!! I try to be reasonable with it but sometimes I get carried away. Needless to say that is just one of the things I love about him.......he is so good to me and he listens to my needs and desires!! That is very important in a marriage.......and I am so blessed that he chose me to spend his life with and have his daughter!!

Honey, I love you very much and thank you for always taking such good care of me and Addison!! We are two lucky ladies to have such an amazing man in our lives!!

Scare.......

So, before I start this blog let me say that it is probably TMI for most of you so don't feel like you have to read it if you don't like TMI but I feel the need to blog since this has been a really tough week emotionally!!
I am not a person who is use to having things go on in my life where I feel torn as to whether or not to blog about it and I struggle with telling personal info about myself!! But, several of you do that and I could honestly use the support right now and I need to vent period!! =) So, here goes!!

About four months ago out of no where I stopped having a period........now, let me say first off that in 25 years of living and I guess over 12 years of having a cycle I have NEV ER had this problem until now!! Normally this would be a good thing right??!! Well, my first thought was 'oh no, I can't be pregnant again' but soon that was the least of my problems. Anywho, after being terrified that I may be pregnant again, I took a test and it was negative. At that point I waited another month and still nothing so I called my doctor's office and left a message for a nurse to call me back. Sure that everything was ok I waited and finally (after what seemed like hours) a nurse returns my call. I tell her what has happened and she asked me what birth control I was on......I told her Yaz. She then proceeds to tell me that it is probably the Yaz that is making my cycle non-existant and that I should take a test to make sure I'm not pregnant. I tell her I already did that and she says that I shoudl see if it comes back within a month or two and if not to come in and let Doctor Phillips check to make sure eveyrthing was okay and then he could prescrib a different BC if I didn't like not having a period. So, not worried, I waited and January adn February came and went and still nothing. So, I call back ready to make an appointment right??!! Well, when I call back they tell me that I don't really need an appointment that the nurse can call me back and prescrib whatever I was on before. Not thinking anything about it I said to get the nurse to call me back. She did, and she tells me that she was calling in a med called Provera to make me have a cycle and then for me to start Yasmin again after that cycle (Yasmin is what I was on before I got pregnant with Addison). So, at the advice of the nurse, still not worried about anything, this is what I do. I started taking the Provera the last week of March into the first week of April..........after seven days of Provera I still didn't start so i called back, worried at this point, to Doctor Phillips office to have a nurse call me back. She calls back (at this point the 3rd DIFFERENT nurse I've talked to) and says to me that it could take up to 10 days after the last pill was taken. Not only was I stressing at that point but she talked to me like I was an idiot for asking about it like I should've known that answer......REALLY?? I am not a nurse/doctor so why should I know that!! Anyway, so the 10th day was last thursday......still nothing and at that point I was tempted to let it go until my annual check with my doctor. Until Sunday......Sunday I started having random, out of the blue, inconsistant, sharp pains around my ovaries. I can not begin to tell you where my mind went with this situation......but it was not good. Needless to say after all this I called back to make an appointment on Tuesday to see my Doctor. As if all this drama wasn't enough the rude lady making my appointment began to tell me that my Doctor couldn't fit me in until.......JUNE 15th!!!!! Are you kidding me?? I was livid.....and pretty much demanded that someone see me immediately. Call me crazy but does this not seem like an emergency to anyone but me?? Was I really overreacting about this situation?? I didn't think so........so after fighting with her I got an appointment to see a nurse practitioner yesterday. Terrified at what she would tell me I went to see her and this is now what we know.

I had a cyst on my ovaries that ruptured.........yes, you read that correctly.......and I was so upset at this. Not really because of what it was but because of how long I went without knowing!! i am sure some of you reading this are thinking that this is not a big deal at all but for me, this is a big deal. I have to go back in 2 weeks to actually see Doctor Phillips, let him examine me and see if I have anymore and we'll go from there. I am at risk to develop more before I can get back on birth control but they are certain that these will go away once I begin birth control again but I obviously have to have a cycle first before that's an option. I don't know enough about this to know if this was a one time thing or if it could affect me in any other ways down the road but at least now I know and we can move on to what needs to be done about it.

Ahhhh......that makes me feel so much better to have that off my chest and I appreciate all of you who read this for reading it. It means alot that you took time out of your day to read this LONG blog post.......I'll keep you updated as i know things!! =) Hugs and Kisses!!

Easter 2009

I know that Easter was a week ago but my life has been so amazingly busy I am just now finding time to write about it. It was Addison's first Easter even though she was born on Easter last year........we actually got to celebrate it together!! :) Her dress was adorable if I do say so myself......and I know that I am partial but it was beautiful. I bought it for Easter but also for two weddings that she will be in just around the corner. She made it precious....... :)

Our Sunday School class had an Easter Egg Hunt that Saturday Morning at Deer Creek. It was so much fun watching those kids find eggs all over the place. Then we went to my parents for our family Easter celebration where we had another Easter Egg Hunt with all the kids........it was so fun watching them get excited about finding eggs in GiGi and Papa B's back yard. We ate dinner together with our parents, grandparents, uncles, etc. and it was a blast spending time with our family.

On Easter Sunday we went to church and our sunday school lesson was ablsolutely amazing. Glenn did a great job as he always does. Then we headed down to the barn to eat lunch with Brandon's mom and tim and their family. Lunch was amazing as usual and we really enjoyed being with everyone. Addison enjoyed her very first Easter this year with many more to come!!

Easter is always a time of reflection for me........I think about what Jesus did for me and I am just in awe that he loved me enough to die for me. Easter isn't the only time I think about this but because of what Easter stands for it always hits me on Easter Sunday just how lucky we are to be here and be living for Him!! It is also a time for me to be thankful......thankful for what He did for me but also thankful for what he has given me. He has blessed me beyond words. I am blessed to have such an amazing husband who loves me and our daughter unconditionally, blessed to have a happy, healthy daughter who is such a joy to be around and watch her grow, blessed to have a wonderful family who stands beside me 100% of the time and loves me for who I am, blessed to have a sister whom I couldn't be closer to and love more than anything and her family is a joy to me and it warms my heart that God blessed her with a husband and children who love her and appreciate her, blessed with a wonderful job working with amazing people, and blessed with the best friends a girl could EVER ask for in her lifetime!! God is so good!!!

Life is good........

Life seems to be absolutely great right now.......not that life isn't great all the time but you know what I mean. Every time I turn around I feel like I am getting good news from someone about something going on in their lives and honestly lately it seems to be about babies. I work with great people out here at macon and one of our teachers out here had been trying to have a baby for some time and found out when school started that she was preggo with twins.......they were born early and in NICU for a while but are healthy and happy now and they are all doing great. Then the coach I share an office with found out she was preggo and I was like SOOOO excited for her. It's fun sharing an office with someone you can talk to about anything and you can give each other advice........and I have plenty to share with her about having a baby!! :) Then, a sweet friend of mine who was an alpha gam with me at AUM found out after years of trying to have a baby that she is preggo.......and my heart is still leaping for joy for her. Her and her husband deserve that more than anything and I couldn't be happier for them. And again, another precious alpha gam friend of mine just had her baby last friday and everything went awesome.......her and the baby are healthy and happy!! It's amazing how such a tiny miracle can make you so appreciative of everything and everyone around you. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

Now, about my baby!! :) Addison just turned a year old 2 weeks ago and I just absolutely can not believe it!!! I have said a million times that I couldn't believe it had been that long but I seriously can't believe it!! Time sure does fly by once you have a baby........
We had her birhtday dinner with my family on Monday March 23rd (her actual birthday) and she knew that it was all about her. She was laughing, talking, and having a good time flirting with the waiter. She is a mess........and I love her!!
We had her first birthday party that saturday at the Mark's House in Pike Road and she again knew it was all about her.......we did an easter egg hunt since she was born on easter last year and we made easter baskets for all the kids that came as their treat for coming to the party. We hid easter eggs throughout the house (because it had rained for what seemed like a month and was too wet outside) and the kids took their baskets and found as many eggs as they could. It was so cute seeing those kids run around that house. She then ate her very own cake.......and it was PRICELESS!!! I don't think I have ever seen a baby dig in to a cake like that before but she was loving it. She ate way too much of that cake but I just couldn't stop her. She got some great presents as well and it was an all around fabulous day. Enjoy pictures below!!

It's March..........

March is here and there are so many things that have already happened and are going to happen. This is a busy month for our family!! I know we have all blogged about it but seriously......I have lived in Montgomery all my life and I can honestly say there has only been one other time in my life that I have seen it snow like it did on March 1st......and that was in the month of April when i was 7 years old.........crazy I know. Hot as it can be around Christmas and snowing in March and April........nuts!!! I did enjoy the snow though and it was Addison's first experience with snow......we didn't take her outside because she has been sick but she stood at the window and looked outside for what seemed like hours beating on the window to go outside. It was precious!! She got a glimpse of it on our way to church that morning but wasn't a fan since it was so cold.

On another note, we are staying busy for the next several weekends.........we are going to visit some of our closet friends on saturday, Ted and Ashley, and I absolutely can not wait!! I haven't seen them in too long and Brandon and I are so excited!! Then on the 21st we are helping with the Footprints to the Finishline Fun Run which will be awesome. I have several showers that I have attended and will be attending for babies and weddings over the next several weeks...........However, the most exciting event by far this month is our precious angels very first birthday!!! I know, it's crazy that one year ago I was going out of my mind because i was so ready to see my daughter for the very first time and now we are celebrating her first birthday!! She will be one year old on March 23rd and her birthday party will be saturday March 28th. She was actually born on Easter last year so we are having an Easter Egg hunt for her birthday........I thought it was a perfect fit. I am looking forward to that special day with our family and friends. I will be sure to let you know how that goes.

New Blog.......

Well, it seems I have had to start all over in my blogging because my last blog wouldn't pull up anymore. It didn't seem to matter what I did to make my background and information show up it wouldn't and I got so frustrated with it that I deleted my old one and started over again. It stinks but oh well.....it's better than not being able to get it to work.

As for my last blog BEFORE it quite cooperating I mentioned tryouts being in February and also Addison's birthday party both coming up. Well, tryouts are over.....THANK GOODNESS and they actually went well. I got 12 great girls and I am looking forward to starting over with them in a few months. I am still busy with trying to get everything together for camp and payments and all that but for the most part, I am relaxing at the moment. LIFE IS GOOD!!!

Addison's party is coming up in a few weeks so I will definitely be updating you all on how that goes. I am sure she'll love diving into her own cake with her hands......I can't wait to see that!!

It's been a great start to the year for us and it keeps getting better. Hope you are all doing well, and I will update soon!!
